590 properties worth $121,442,666 changed hands through the Brooks Real Estate Board during 2008, compared with 716 in 2007 with a value of $137,690,368. Total number of sales were down 17.6% and total dollar volume down by 11.8%
The average price of 157 resale homes was $248,774, compared to $237,135 a year ago. This is an increase of 4.7%.
In the last 3 months of 2008, Brooks home sales numbers were down 37% from a year ago, and sale prices down 6.1% These recent numbers reflect the general real estate scene across Canada.
